HAPUP® Cat Fountain– Automatic Cat Drinking Fountain with adapter 61oz / 1.8L

My senior 17 year old cat was very fussy and would only drink from a particular bowl but as cats like to do he decided out of the blue that was no longer sufficient and only wanted water running from the tap. Not only was this impractical because he couldn't have access 24/7 but he was finding it extremely difficult to jump up and down to the tap.
I chose this fountain because of it being like a tap and after 2 days of staring at it he took a drink and now loves using it. It flows like a gentle tap, isn't noisy and is just the right level for him to use. It's easy to clean and take apart. I do this every 5 days but if the water level dips before the 5 days is up you can slowly pour some water in to the top to fill it up. Another selling point to me is that it can be run off a power bank, I wasn't too keen leaving something plugged in especially with water involved when I wasn't in the house but this is easily solved by using a power bank. It drains very little energy from the bank so clearly doesn't use much from the electricity either.
If you're wondering whether to get it, don't hesitate. I did for a few weeks and wish I'd bought it earlier because he is so much happier now and I don't have to worry about him causing himself an injury making jumps he can't manage.

Replaced an older fountain my sister was using in an attempt to get her second cat to start drinking more water. He prefers to drink from the faucet or the tub spout. Her old fountain was more of the flower top type that created small spill off flows of water. This fountain seemed to me like it would mimic a faucet more and he would be drawn to it.

Likes/Dislikes:

1 - Like - Fountain motor is quiet. If the filter is not kept clean it makes more of a splashing sound.

2 - Like - Clear container so you can see the water level and the filter so you know when it needs filling and cleaning.

3 - Like - Small bowl like indent for animals who like to drink from a bowl e.g. the dog.

4 - Like - Price

5 - Dislike - Capacity is smaller than the old fountain so it needs to be filled more often. One cat is diabetic and drinks a lot of water. This is not a fault of the product.

This is a brilliant fountain.
We have a different one for another cat and my cat loved it, he also loves when the tap is running and always runs to the sink so the fact that this mimics a tap is great
Love that it’s transparent and I can see if the filter is dirty
The two settings on the pump for higher or lower power are great, I have it on the lower setting as I don’t need a strong flow for my cat
As you can see in the video when he first got to it he was playing with it which was quite funny and figuring it out as the other fountain he’s used to doesn’t have a tap style flow
But the day after he was drinking from it just like he does the other fountain
It took my other cat a while before he used the other fountain so if this is the first fountain you get for your cat give them time to get used to it as they have to become familiar with it being there and then get brave to use it
I decided to get him his own fountain because he needs to keep hydrated due to possible kidney issues so the flowing water encourages him to drink, so it’s also a good option if your cat has similar issues

As far as noise goes the only sound coming off it is a trickle of water, no sound off the pump whatsoever, if it’s on the higher flow I found the sound of water is less but I quite like the sound of the water it’s relaxing
The filters are nice and small, my other fountain has a big filter, I prefer these smaller ones and the overall design of this fountain

The plug is the same as a standard phone plug, they are very easy on power so no worries for your electric bill seeing a massive increase

I do find the flowing water stays cooler than water just sitting in a bowl even though this fountain doesn’t actively cool it with a cooler it’s definitely staying nice and cool

Love this little fountain and so do my cats I've already got one of the older style with a flower on top and my cats prefer this one as it's a little like drinking from a tap. Definitely a good buy.

Easy to handle didn’t even use the manual to set up it was that simple, two different types of fountains so can change every now and then! The tap option keeps the cats out of the sink and easy to clean with the brushes supplied means don’t have to go and find something to try and slip around the small spaces like with other fountains
